I read this story in a few hours.I Could not seem put it down. A few years a ago our family went through a similar battle As a family it was hard. . To imagine the young authors journey and her amazing her strength and faith in God was encouraging . A very good short read. I find my self wanting to know more about their lives today and wondering if they have the relationship that Linda Allen deserves. May God Bless her and her daughter and anyone dealing with a similar situation find the strength and encouragement. To never give up. Shame on the Pierce County authorities . The system set up to make money rather than protect the innocent.Product details

I was deeply saddened while reading this tragic story, especially the disparity involved due to financial means. The father/pedophile was so blatantly using his money to buy his sadistic, deviant access to his own child. It is uncanny to me that the system repeatedly dismissed these allegations. It is heartbreaking to say the very least. The tiny shred of hope I am left with is that A.R. is finally free from him and hopefully getting the help and direction she needs to heal from this horrific life-altering childhood. This sick man has ruined, at the very least, 3 lives (A.R., Lynda & the other child that came forward), not to mention the prior reported offenses and friends and family that endured the fallout of this pedophile. And, hey...don't forget, he now has access to his granddaughters and has never been held accountable for his disgusting choices. Kudos to the author, Lynda Allen, for having the guts to continue fighting this sick man for so long. ~ Suzanne Robinson, Palm Springs, CA
riveting, heartbreaking and heartwarming. a must read. once you start, you can't stop! the injustices experienced and a mothers undying quest to right all the wrongs the system committed...you feel her pain, her anger, you cry tears (i did) if you have or know someone with a child in the system....please read, or refer this book...at the very least..people should know...it's not just them...they are not alone
This powerful book was written by a strong woman who loved her daughter enough to share this journey with the World. It is numbing to realize how the people in power turned blind eyes to the abuse of this child... how the love of this child kept her mother on the path that few would take. My prayer is that this book will change the way we think about the legal and moral rights of these innocents. It should be required reading for anyone entering into the social services. I urge you to read this book and demand changes in our broken system, so that others can be saved. This is a story of love beyond measure. Important and life changing.
I had the pleasure of reading Lynda's manuscript long before it was published. I have been holding my breath ever since waiting for this day to come. Her writing is magnificent, as you can walk her personal journey through each word with tears streaming down your face. The strength and courage she displays on paper can't even hold a candle to the woman she has become. Even after loosing her daughter to the system, she had the guts to step in to another mother's shoes and help raise two more children (mine) with another abusive man. That which does not kill us, truly does make us stronger. I admire Lynda for her strength, courage, and passion to see every little thing through. She is my hero. Even though our children are now adults, she hasn't stopped fighting and I don't think she ever will.
Very well written book. I have had the great fortune to meet Lynda. and she is a very caring person. Anyone who has had to fight the system. this would be a must read.
Your book is wonderful and your heart is transparent. That is a goal that 99 percent of people miss. With networking, prayer and this book will get this into the right hands! A must read for young college students with a desire to help others! All who read your book will know people who should or need to read this book. I would give you five stars all day long.
This book is for everyone involved in helping children. Lynda fought so hard for her daughter to keep her safe. Every time it looked like she would feel heard, the system would ignore her. As a Guardian Ad Litem myself, this was a story that I hope everyone can read. Every parent should be heard. And everyone in the court system need to be open making changes.
